About

Alison began her journey as a herbalist in her childhood learning the latin names of seaweeds from her marine biologist mother and the different kinds of tree from her arborist father. Herbs are and always have been a part of her life - in food and medicine.

Growing up inspired by food and nutrition, Alison attended culinary school and grew to love diet as a holistic lifestyle and the basis for great health. She became certified in Foundation Training, a movement therapy, in 2018 and has been teaching classes and workshops since then around creating robust movement patterns, using food as medicine, regulating the nervous system, and connecting with nature.

Alison officially began studying herbalism in 2020 with Dominion Herbal College and Wild Rose Herbal College. She went on to study under many other brilliant herbalists, including, Colleen Emery, Todd Caldecott, David Winston, and Chanchal Cabrera. She completed the majority of her clinical practicum under Katolen Yardley.

Alison continues to research our innate ability to heal, with her loving partner and 3 sons living with integrity and intention in BC. She strives to be her children’s best example of health and vitality.
